The Higher they go ......
The higher they go, the further they fall ......
From time to time we hear reports of senior politicians, religious leaders and many other senior members of prominent groups who are accused of such things as paying for sex with a man, or 'cruising' for another man. This is nothing unusual in this day and age, and indeed the more squeaky clean they appear to be, whether in a religious sext, or as a politician, or some other group, the more likely it is that accusations of some sort will be made at some time in their careers.
One of the things that has come out of the questionnaires run on this site, run for several years, is that approximately 80% of the people responding to them admit that under extreme pressure (or when the stakes are hight), they will lie.
1 in 5 chance
Applying this to anyone under the spotlight, the 80% rule would sugges that there is only a 1 in 5 chance, if they are protesting their innocence, they are actually telling the truth.
Whether guilty of the accusations, or not, one thing we have found is that there are many men (probably women too) who profess one thinig but in fact, in the privacy of their own lives, do another. Some, who have homosexual tendencies, will be quite homophobic in their approach.
When it comes to sexuality, it is one thing to want to be totally heterosexual and lead a totally 'norma' life of respectability, and it is another thinig to be able to do it. With the latter, a kind of 'madness' (or extreme sexual drive) takes over from time to time - most fight it, but many succumb, particularly since the drive increases with abstinence. There is often no choice.
People say there is choice, but the reality for most is that there is not ......
