There is no "final score" for the Klein Sexual Orientation Grid - if you are wishing to check your sexuality now, you may wish to take the average scores for the "Now" line, highlighted in bold. This will give you an approximation, but it is very crude since such things as "Social Preference" have little to do with sexuality. Nevertheless, the closer to "0", the more heterosexual you are likely to be, the closer to "6", the more homosexual you are likely to be, with "bisexual" somewhere in the middle.

* Self identification Label is similar in some ways to a Kinsey Number but it is not identical. Sexual fantasies probably get a bit closer to the truth.

The above data is constantly under review but there are no patterns evident as illustrated by the attached PDF which shows charts of responses by males aged from 18 upwards.

One or two comments

1. There are often clear differences in the way people have scored their teens and scored their later life, as they gradually come to terms with their sexuality and decide how they are going to cope with it.
2. The way in which people have scored their "ideal" situation seems to depend on how they view themselves. If they have not come to terms with their true sexuality (principally because they have insufficient experience to know), they often score as if they wanted to be "normal", whereas those who have come to terms with their sexuality, often score to match what they consider to be their true, unconstrained sexuality.
3. Things like lifestyle and social preferences tend to match the way people want to live, often in an opposite gender or balanced environment, whereas sexual attraction and sexual fantasy tend to be related more to their sexual desires.
4. Sexual behaviour is often influenced by a person's circumstances. Thus a homosexual person in marriage may show little or no homosexual activity (depending on opportunity) whereas they could score their sexual attractions and fantasies with a same gender bias.
5. Scrutiny of responses from people who are 10 or 20 years older than you, if they have scored in a similar fashion and have a similar history,  could give you a clue as to what the future might bring to you, although remember that we are all different.
